Metepec, town of artisans

IMG_9245

Metepec is a “Pueblo Mágico” near Toluca in the Estado de México famous for its ceramics, especially its “arboles de la vida” or trees of life. The town of brightly colored houses is overlooked by the red church, El Calvario, on the hill and its streets around the centre are lined with small shops overflowing with popular crafts and tiles. A great place to wander around.
