Close encounters with a shark
A small boy watches a shark swim past in the Aquarium in Mexico City.
The “Acuario Inbursa” in Polanco opened in 2014 with 5,000 creatures from 230 marine species and has since then added penguins and other animals. Located four floors down under the streets of the city are the sharks which swim around with large rays. On the next floor up are some spectacular jellyfish and tropical fish, including a tank of seahorses, while the entertaining penguins are on the second floor. If you are thinking of visiting, make sure you go early or on a day when there are not likely to be so many visitors because it can become very crowded.
