Modern “nacimiento” or nativity scene from Oaxaca

A common Mexican traditions at Christmas time is to set up a “nacimiento” or nativity scene in the house with the main figures of Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, the angels, the shepherds and the wise men or kings, plus an assortment of villagers. Craftsmen are very creative when making these nativity scenes, like this modern one on a bicycle, made in wood and painted by Agustín Cruz Tinoco from San Agustín de las Juntas, Oaxaca.
